An audit just published by Penrith-based Eden Arts has provided a snapshot of arts and health projects across in Cumbria. The audit, which is to be distributed to the NHS Trusts serving the county and advertised nationally through the medical press, will inform the development of a strategic approach to arts and health in the county. New research into Folk Roots and Acoustic Music Festivals undertaken by Morris Hargreaves McIntyre has been published by the Association of Festival Organisers. A 2-day conference next month, funded by the EU Programme for Peace and Reconciliation, is to enable arts practitioners on both sides of the Irish border to meet with their European counterparts to discuss ways of sharing resources and establishing partnerships. The conference is being led by the Youth Culture Arts Network, a joint venture between Boomerang Theatre Company, Cork and the Playhouse, Derry, which promotes partnerships between arts organisations and cross-border communication between young people.
