The second Scottish Arts Marketers Forum takes place on October 31 in Edinburgh. Aimed at marketing specialists working in professional organisations across all artforms, the event offers the opportunity to share ideas and explore key issues.

A unique classical/jazz partnership has been formed between the chamber orchestra London Mozart Players and the five-piece band The World Quintet. The collaboration includes a UK tour and a CD release. A CD sampler has been produced to promote the tour. Contact Ceri Hunter t: 020 8686 1996.

A new website offering a one-stop shop for arts and entertainment listings across the whole of the Yorkshire region has been launched Audiences Yorkshire. With reference to the article ?Arts Organisation Mergers? by Sean Egan (ArtsProfessional issue 34 p13), we have been asked to point out that the Arts Council of England (ACE) and its regional offices do not intend to fund fewer arts organisations. Indeed, as a result of significant increases in the ACE grant from Government, it intends to widen the range of organisations benefiting from ACE funding as well as increasing its investment in more established organisations.
