Education dialogue begins
The Scottish Arts Council has established an Education Forum comprising a group of respected academics, artists and educationalists. Chaired by Professor Emeritus Sally Brown, of the University of Stirling, the Arts Education Forum will start a dialogue about the place of arts education in the lives of young people in Scotland, and discuss the role of arts education in the curriculum from pre-school to tertiary level and beyond.

Spotlight on children?s art
The second National Children?s Art Day will take place on June 20, with further events over the weekend of June 22-23. A report on its Young People and Music Participation Project has been published by the Department of Psychology at Keele University. The Scottish Arts Council has embarked on a survey to develop a detailed picture of the working lives of visual artists in Scotland.
