Aiming to address the artistic needs of the culturally diverse communities in its region, West Midlands Arts (WMA) has launched a new action plan for Black and Minority Ethnic arts. The action plan, ?Shifting Perspectives?, creates a framework within which West Midlands Arts can support the development and sustainability of Black and Minority Ethnic arts, and will serve as a model to help its clients, partner organisations and other regional agencies to develop their own working practices.
It has been developed in the context of the Macpherson Report 1999, the Commission for Racial Equality Standards and the Race Relations Amendment Act 2000.
