Arts Council England, East Midlands has named nine cultural organisations which will be participating in an initiative to stimulate the economy within the region by developing cultural tourism and cultural investment in the area.
The East Midlands Project Advocating Cultural Tourism (EMPACT), which is supported with European funding, will be giving business and IT support to help selected organisations, primarily in rural areas, attract more visitors from outside the region. The nine pilot organisations between them cover a range of artforms across the six counties in the region. For details e: andrea.nix@artscouncil.org.uk
