A draft framework for the development of literature in Scotland over the next five years has been published by the Scottish Arts Council (SAC), which is inviting anyone interested in literature to comment on its proposals. The draft ?Plan for Literature? is the result of a two-year period of consultation by SAC?s Literature Department with writers, publishers, the national literature organisations, librarians and the Literature Forum for Scotland and incorporates many of their recommendations.
Responses to the draft must be received by January 7, and the final plan will be presented to Scottish Arts Council at the end of that month.
