Welsh National Opera (WNO) has teamed up with Classic FM in a three-year partnership to develop a wider audience for opera.
WNO will become Classic FM?s opera company throughout the UK, and the two organisations will be working together on a series of education projects and live performances which will encourage newcomers to sample opera. Anthony Freud, General Director of WNO, said: ?As the opera company which tours most regularly and most widely across the country, there is a clear connection between WNO and Classic FM, which has for the past 11 years reached millions of classical music and opera listeners in the UK, and more recently across the world via the Internet.? To celebrate the partnership WNO is offering Classic FM listeners the chance to win a pair of tickets for each venue in its autumn season.
