In competition with commercial IT businesses in Coventry and Warwickshire, marketing:arts, the Coventry-based agency specialising in data analysis for the arts and leisure industries, has been awarded the BT Information & Communications Technology Award, in recognition of its business reporting software system ?data:crunch?.
The system combines information from ticket sales, national research and census data, with statistics held on 20 million customers, and has been widely used by arts organisations in business solutions ranging from marketing campaigns to strategic business planning. Director of marketing:arts, Richard Hadley said ?We are delighted to have won this award ahead of such strong competition. It?s also great news for the arts sector, which is sometimes thought of as lacking hard business acumen.?
