A Queen?s Award for Enterprise in the International Trade category has been conferred upon Theatre Projects Consultants, a London-based company that works with arts organisations, governments and civic groups on the construction and renovation of new theatres, concert halls and opera houses.
Now operating from offices in London, Connecticut and Singapore, the company has completed projects in 52 countries over the past 25 years, ranging from small-scale drama theatres and community spaces, to the new 3,500-seat Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles (pictured) which was host to the Oscar awards ceremony earlier this year. Current projects in the UK include the Music Centre Gateshead, the new theatre for the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford upon Avon, and a new 350-seat home for Unicorn Children?s Theatre.
