A ground-breaking programme conceived by BAC, Warwick Arts Centre and a consortium of UK venues, is creating a new model for theatre on tour.
The initiative, known as ?This Way Up?, aims to provide emerging London-based artists with the support they need to tour their work beyond the M25. Young companies are often held back by the need to have sufficient funding and suitable infrastructure to nurture ambition on the part of regional programmers. To overcome these problems, a consortium of UK venues working in association with BAC has selected four companies, Filter, Gecko, Patter, and Sound&Fury to tour regionally, and has secured funding from Arts Council England to support a tour of their work. Specialist management backing is being provided for each company by Your Imagination, who provide management services for groups, including Ridiculusmus and Cartoon de Salvo. The tour takes place from April 28 to May 31. Further details from Tei Williams t: 01865 883139
