There was a certain irony in the coincidence last issue (ArtsProfessional, issue 67, February 9) between my article in Sounding Board and the news that Re:source was to change its name (after less than four years); and this after The Arts Council of England decided last year that it could dispose of conjunctions in its name.

Once upon a time there was the Museums and Galleries Commission; then Re:source; and now Museums Libraries Archives (poor old galleries not rating a mention). What next? Archives Libraries Museums Service – ALMS (for the poor)?
