Urbis has announced the appointment of Tony Doherty, previously Director of Exeter?s Phoenix arts centre, as General Manager. His appointment follows the departure of Elizabeth Usher, who was formerly its Director.

Stephen Stenning, formerly Associate Director of the Dundee Repertory Theatre will succeed Nicola Wallis as Director of the Aberdeen International Youth Festival. She is leaving her post after 20 years in charge of the festival to become Chief Executive of the Voices Foundation, a UK music education charity.


Northampton Theatres Trust has announced the appointment of Donna Munday (pictured) as Chief Executive. Currently General Manager of the Production Department for The Really Useful Theatres Group, she will take up her new post in June.

Shared Experience has appointed Victoria Kearns as Marketing Manager to succeed Ian Whitaker, who has become the new Marketing & Sales Director at the Young Vic Theatre Company. He will be joined at the end of March by Laura Newhofer, formerly of the Oxford Playhouse, as Marketing Officer.

The former Director of The Bull Theatre, Adrian Berry has joined Trinity Theatre & Arts Centre in Kent as Director.

East London Dance has appointed Lerato Dunn as Urban Moves Project Co-ordinator and Lisa Scott as Project Co-ordinator.

Kalwant is Managing Director of Open IT Developments Ltd, Executive Director of Asian Arts Access Ltd and the Founder and Chairman of Community Action Partnerships.


The Norfolk and Norwich Festival has appointed Jane Rich (pictured) as Development Manager. She has been working in the arts in a freelance capacity for the last 10 years.

Jill Foggin, Communications Officer for Arts Council England, Yorkshire, is leaving this month to take up a post at Darlington and Durham Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. Administrator Jo Smith has left to join CIDA, the Cultural Industries Development Agency in Huddersfield.

Wigan Pier Theatre Company has appointed Martin Green as Development Officer to succeed Elizabeth Edwards.

The Burlington Magazine has appointed Richard Shone as Editor and Jane Martineau as joint Associate Editor to work with Bart Cornelis. Richard has been an Associate Editor of the Magazine since 1979 and Jane was formerly a freelance exhibition curator and editor.

Director and playwright David Farr, and literary manager, adapter and producer Simon Reade, have joined Bristol Old Vic as Artistic Directors.
