Geraint Talfan Davies, Controller of BBC Wales from 1990-2000, is the new Chairman of the Arts Council of Wales. He is currently Chair of Welsh National Opera and Cardiff Bay Arts Trust.

Dundee Rep Theatre has announced the appointments of James Brining as Joint-Chief Executive and Dominic Hill as Artistic Director to work alongside Joint-Chief Executive Joanna Reid. James has been Artistic Director of TAG Theatre Company for six years, and Dominic, currently Dundee Rep?s Associate Director, will take up his post in April.

Caroline Newall, former General Manager of Paines Plough, will become General Manager of Theatre Cryptic, replacing Claire Findlay who has left the organisation to become a Quality and Development Officer for Renfrewshire Council.


Warwick Arts Centre has appointed Katie Anderson, formerly of Oxford Playhouse, as Marketing Director to succeed Rob Macpherson (pictured) who joins Birmingham Hippodrome as Head of Development.

Simon Groom is to become Head of Exhibitions and Display at Tate Liverpool. Exhibitions Officer at Kettle?s Yard, Cambridge for the past three years, he succeeds Victoria Pomery who is now Director of the Turner Centre, Margate.

Alice Bartlett has left her position as Associate Director at Harrogate Theatre to move into freelance directing. Her replacement is Steve Ansell, formerly with Jasmin Vardimon Dance Company.

The Crafts Council has appointed John Ward, previously Development Director at English National Opera, as Director of Fundraising.

Young at Art has appointed Alice Jackson as Audience Development Officer. She has most recently worked with the Ulster Orchestra as Press & Publicity Officer.
