Simon Stallworthy, previously Executive Director of Bolton?s Octagon Theatre, is to become the new Director of The Theatre Chipping Norton at the end of May.

Ann Parry has been appointed Contemporary Music Network Administrator at the Arts Council of England. She will take up her post in June, succeeding Marcel Jenkins who is taking a sabbatical before returning to pursue freelance projects.

The Crafts Council has announced the appointment of Dr Louise Taylor as its new Director. Previously Director of Craftspace Touring in Birmingham she will take up her post in June.


Bridget McKenzie (pictured) has joined the British Library in the new post of Head of Schools Services. She spent five years at the Tate as Education Officer for Schools and has worked as a consultant for the Clore Duffield Foundation, developing Artworks, the national awards for good practice in art education.


Chris Loake (pictured) is leaving Milton Keynes City Orchestra, where he has been General Manager since November 2000, to return to his previous role as a freelance consultant.

Dartington College of Arts has appointed Jennie Hayes to a three year Fellowship in Creative and Performing Arts. Jennie is currently Director of Beaford Arts in North Devon.

Kevin Rowe is leaving Lottery Service Providers in Leeds to join Northern Ballet Theatre as Development Manager.

Teresa Fitzgerald has joined Laban Centre London?s Development Team as Fundraising Manager. She leaves her current role as Development Director at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.

The Arts Council of Wales has announced several new appointments as part of its new management structure. Chris Ricketts, previously at Clywd Theatr Cymru, joins as Director of Wales Arts International; Hywel Tudor leaves the Environment Agency where he was Head of Finance for Wales, to become Finance & Central Services Director; Clare Thomas, formerly Assistant Director for Wales at the Open University in Cardiff, has become Director of the Mid and West Wales Team; Emma Geliot from Cywaith Cymru has joined as Senior Arts Development Officer responsible for the Visual Arts; and Natalie Camus is the new part-time Senior Arts Development Officer responsible for Craft.

Selena Virrels is leaving her current post of Marketing Manager at the City of London Sinfonia to take up the position of Classical Music Marketing Manager at the South Bank Centre.

Shared Experience has announced the appointment of Jon Harris, Director of Stratford Circus for the last 5 years, as its new Administrative Producer. Rachel Tackley, who has managed the company for ten years, will be leaving to pursue a freelance career.

Penny Metcalf has joined the Parker Harris Partnership as its new Press Officer.

Dawn Austwick OBE, Project Director for Tate Modern since 1995, is to join The British Museum in September as Director of Resources. The post forms part of a new management structure supporting the incoming Director, Neil MacGregor, who takes up his post on August 1.

Susan Lansdale, Concerts Officer at the University of Nottingham, is leaving to set up her own business as an arts consultant and music/education project manager.
