Lesley Jackson (pictured) will be the new Executive Director at West Yorkshire Playhouse. Currently General Manager for Lawrence Batley Theatre, she will replace Daniel Bates, who is now Chief Executive of York Theatre Royal.

After 6 years as Director of artSites Birmingham, Clare Edwards is leaving to join the Learning Skills Council as Music Co-ordinator.

Richard Jarman has taken the role of interim General Director at Scottish Opera. He was Scottish Opera?s General Director from 1991 to 1997, and is currently General Director of the Britten-Pears Foundation and works for the artists and events management agency Askonas Holt.

Theatre Royal Newcastle has appointed Richard Berg-Rust (pictured) as its new Director of Development. He was previously senior major gifts fundraiser for the housing charity Shelter, and will now be involved in raising funds for the Theatre Royal?s planned £4.2m expansion scheme.

Sir Bob Scott has been announced as the Chairman of Trinity Laban. This new organisation is being formed through the merger of Trinity College of Music and Laban, to become the UK?s first dedicated conservatoire for music and dance.

Sue Morley, Marketing Manager at the New Victoria Theatre in Woking, is joining the regional programming team at the Ambassador Theatre Group (ATG) as part-time Programming Associate. She will continue in her role at the New Victoria Theatre on a part-time basis. Rachel Tackley will remain as ATG?s Head of Programming, working part-time and taking on freelance projects. Becky Feltham has been promoted to become Programming Associate. Lottie Berrill is the new assistant to the department.

SNAP Theatre Company?s founder, Artistic Director Andy Graham, is leaving the company to embark on international projects involving children across the developing world. Stuart Mullins, Artistic Director of Pursued by a Bear, has been appointed to replace him.
