A £35m overhaul has seen the former Liverpool Museum double in size to incorporate a World Culture Gallery, a new aquarium, a ?Bug House? and a performance area.

Renamed World Museum Liverpool, the cultural centre combines several internationally important collections including African masks (pictured), archaeology exhibits, and Britain?s only free Planetarium. The museum?s launch marks the end of the £45m development of all three of National Museums Liverpool?s venues: the Museum of Liverpool Life, Walker Art Gallery and Liverpool Museum.
