News ? theatre-rites tenth anniversary

Young people?s theatre company, theatre-rites has designed two site-specific projects to mark its tenth anniversary. Hospitalworks (pictured) a new piece incorporating puppetry and performance, commissioned by Polka Theatre, has just opened in a disused ward of the Mayday University Hospital in Croydon.

Later this month, the company will launch an interactive four-month exhibition celebrating the work of Hans Christian Andersen at the British Library. The exhibition involves puppets, pulleys, projections and paper-cuts and will be supported by special performances for 4-8 year olds in July and August.
