Creative businesses face a range of problems in securing investment, including prejudice from commercial investors and ?a lack of coherence and connection between the different public sector initiatives designed to help the sector,? according to a new report from the National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts (NESTA).
The findings, reported in ?Creating value ? How the UK can invest in new creative businesses? suggests that public and private sectors should be encouraged to work in partnership to make sure the UK develops and supports the right creative businesses. These businesses are also exhorted to demonstrate their commercial value to attract investors, rather than claiming to be ?exceptional? and unlike businesses in any other sectors.
