Pianist Joanna MacGregor has been appointed as the new Artistic Director of Bath International Music Festival. She will work alongside the new Chief Executive, Nod Knowles, who was previously Head of Music at the Scottish Arts Council. His role there has now been filled by Ian Smith, who for the last 12 years has been the Scotland & Northern Ireland Regional Organiser for the Musicians? Union.

Kate Sarley has left her role as General Manager of Talawa Theatre Company to become Administrative Consultant at the Oval House. Paulette Randall, Talawa?s Artistic Director, is also leaving to return to a freelance career.

Erica Smith (pictured) has left Artswork, the Youth Arts Development Agency and has joined Creative Partnerships (Southampton & Isle of Wight) as a Creative Agent. Bob Prattey, former Managing Director of Birmingham?s NEC group venues, is the new Chief Executive of Kings Waterfront Arena and Conference Centre in Liverpool. Work on the £150m venue will begin on site next month, with the venue due to open in 2008.

BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art, Gateshead has appointed Peter Doroshenko as its new Director. He was until recently Director of Belgium?s largest contemporary art gallery, S.M.A.K (Stedelijk Museum Voor Actuele Kunst), and prior to this was Director of Visual Arts at the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee and Senior Curator at the Contemporary Arts Museum in Houston, Texas.

CandoCo Dance Company has appointed Lauren Scholey as its new Executive Director. She replaces Dawn Prentice, who is leaving to pursue a freelance career.

Christopher Goodhart has joined Blackbaud as Managing Director of its new London-based ticketing division. He joins the company from Tickets.com, where he was president of the International Group.

Debbie Roza-Mercier has joined software development and data management company Purple Seven as Sales & Project Manager.

Four new members are joining the Scottish Arts Council: Jane Jeffrey, Director of the contemporary arts centre An Tuireann; James McSharry, former Vice Chair of Theatre Workshop; performer, songwriter and recording artist Rab Noakes; and mathematics and statistics graduate Jennifer Waterton.

Darren Long, currently Director of Operations at the ITN Archive, is joining the British Film Institute as Head of Collections and Information. Nigel Algar has been appointed Senior Curator (Fiction), David Sin as Head of Partnerships, William Fowler as Artists? Moving Image Curator and Robin Baker as Collections Curator Mediatheque.

Sebastian Cheswright, currently Development Co-ordinator at The Society of London Theatre, is joining AKA (Adam Kenwright Associates) as a Marketing Executive.

The new General Manager at M6 Theatre Company is Deborah Palmer (pictured), who previously worked for Red Ladder Theatre Company.

Irish Film Board Chief Executive Mark Woods is leaving to become Chief Executive of Sydney-based content attraction and marketing agency AusFilm.
