Sunday performances could become a regular happening in London?s West End after members of technicians? union BECTU voted overwhelmingly in favour of a new pay deal.
The new package, which brings technicians into line with musicians? and performers? unions, will enable management to schedule Sunday performances; until now, theatres were required to make one off local agreements. The contract also includes a 5.5% pay increase, new employers? pension contributions and improved holiday and parenting arrangements.
