News ? Take One Picture
The National Gallery is celebrating ten years of its primary school initiative, Take One Picture. Each year children submit work from any area of the curriculum in response to a single image from the National?s collection.
This year, Degas? Beach Scene stimulated projects incorporating science, geography, history, music and sculpture from pupils at 160 schools from across the UK, including Sand Sculpture (pictured) by pupils at Kew College in Surrey. Selected items from the scheme will be on display in the National Gallery?s Education Centre until 4 July.
