Simon Sharkey (pictured), Director of Cumbernauld Theatre, has been appointed to the National Theatre of Scotland as Associate Director (Education). He has worked in Scottish theatre since 1983 and is also a playwright.

FACT, The Foundation for Art and Creative Technology, has appointed Gill Henderson as its new Director. She was formerly Chief Executive of the London Film and Video Development Agency, and Director of the Broadway Media Centre in Nottingham. She replaces FACT founder and Chief Executive Eddie Berg, who is now Artistic Director of the National Centre for the Moving Image.

Wendy Dempsey has joined Ouroboros Theatre Company (formerly TheatreWorks) in Dublin as Company Manager. She was previously Deputy General Manager of the Lyceum Theatre in London.

Lizzie Nicoll is returning to Scottish theatre as the new Director of The Federation of Scottish Theatre. For the past two years she has been Head of Sponsorship at the Royal Scottish National Orchestra in Glasgow.

Michael Clarke, Director of Information for Arts Council England, is the new Director of the London Libraries Development Agency.

The new Administrative Director for Pop-Up Theatre is Amarjeet Kaur Kang. She was previously Chief Executive at Artsline, the arts information service for disabled people.

Julie Hanna has been appointed by the Liverpool Culture Company as Creative Health Manager, a role that will integrate the arts into all areas of health provision in the city. She was previously Clinical Services Manager in adult mental health.

James Coutts, formerly Marketing Officer for the National Galleries of Scotland, is now Project Manager for craftscotland, the international showcase promoting Scottish craft.

John McMurray has joined Intermusica Ltd as Associate Director in the company?s new Vocal and Opera department. He will be looking after well-known and established artists as well as recruiting and developing young talent.

Clive Lawrence (pictured), a partner at McCormicks Solicitors of Leeds and Harrogate, has been elected as Chair of the Board of Trustees for Audiences Yorkshire, the region?s marketing and audience development agency.

Clare Hudson has left her post as Head of Resource Development at Arts Council England, West Midlands to run a creative industries development programme for the Leicester, Leicestershire & Rutland Arts Partnership.
