The Institute of Leisure and Amenity Management (ILAM) is set to merge with two other professional bodies, forming a single organisation to represent professionals working in sport, leisure and culture.
In response to an internal ballot, 96% of ILAM members voted in favour of merging with The Institute of Sport and Recreation Management (ISAM) and The National Association for Sports Development (NASD). The move towards a single representative body has come in response to a demand by Sports Minister Richard Caborn to deal with just one organisation.
