A seminar on the theme of community arts in health projects will take place on 16 March at Stratford Circus in East London, hosted by London Arts in Health Forum. The event will include presentations from community arts practitioners and act as an introduction to arts in health projects in community settings.

A new national agency to support and promote opportunities for young people in dance has been launched in an attempt to encourage participation in dance and raise the profile of youth dance. The first initiative will be the National Youth Dance Performance in July, which will bring together youth dance groups from across England to perform and participate in workshops in Birmingham.

A conference looking at how teachers and artists can work together to promote creative learning will take place at mac in Birmingham on 18 March. Organised by aliss, it will focus on Government policies on creativity in the curriculum, highlighting issues of impact and sustainability.

Trinity College of Music is undertaking a research project to examine the need for a youth orchestra to serve the London Boroughs of Greenwich and Lewisham. Researchers are looking for local and national feedback on the benefits, need and impact of youth orchestras.
