The National Galleries of Scotland?s Playfair Project has received awards for best one-off fundraising campaign and best telephone campaign at the Institute of Fundraising Awards.
Judges described efforts to raise £12.6m for the redevelopment programme, which also involves the adjacent Royal Scottish Academy, as ?the most successful campaign in the arts in Scotland to date.? The campaign was designed to appeal to a range of audiences, and combined naming opportunities with direct mail, telemarketing, events and gifts programmes.
