Recent research into arts organisations in the North West of England has identified a significant shortfall between the finance that is available to cultural industries and what is needed.
80% of the organisations questioned in the survey by Culture Finance north west said they found private sector finance very difficult to access. 67% of respondents felt there was poor overall financial provision for their particular type of business. Businesses in rural areas were more likely to have less information about what was available than their urban counterparts.
