John D?Arcy has been appointed Chairman of the new Audience Development Agency for Northern Ireland. He is currently Chief Executive of the Association of Northern Ireland Colleges and also a Director of the Commonwealth Games Council for Northern Ireland.

Fern Potter is joining Dance Umbrella as Head of Development. She was previously Development Manager at George Piper Dances.

Three staff have joined The Courtyard in Herefordshire, with Kate White as the new Sales and Marketing Manager, and Sophie Dubber and Amy Eastwood as Marketing Officers.

Gaynor Davenport has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer of UK Post, the new association representing the film and broadcast post-production industry.

Geraldine Peacock CBE will be the new Chair of the Charity Commission, succeeding Chief Charity Commissioner, John Stoker, whose term of office comes to an end next month. Ms Peacock has been a Charity Commissioner since July 2003 and was previously Chief Executive of the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association.

Cate Caniffe is joining Rambert Dance Company as its new Director of Development. She was most recently Head of Communications for a transport company, having also worked in fundraising for a number of arts organisations.

Dundee Rep has announced two new appointments; Steven Small, Head of Education at Edinburgh?s Royal Lyceum Theatre, becomes Associate Director (Education and Community) and Stevie Leach becomes Education Officer.

John Nassau has joined The Sage Gateshead as Customer Services Manager. He has spent the past 15 years working for Sainsbury?s.

Alison Dunican (pictured), currently General Manager of Walk the Plank, has been appointed General Manager of the Green Room. Other appointments include Christopher Hodgson as Head of Audience Development and Education, Jae Forresteras Technical Manager, John Franklin as Programme Co-ordinator, Philip Hannaway as Learning and Access Co-ordinator and Joanne Dunn as Box Office Receptionist.

Poet Ruth Padel will be Chair of the Poetry Society for the next three years.

Esko Reinikainen (pictured), Artistic Director of Northern Laboratory Theatre, has become Monmouthshire County Council?s first Arts Development Officer.

Dawn Day has been appointed Acting General Manager of the Academy of St Martin in the Fields. This follows the resignation of John Manger who has left the Academy for personal reasons.

Martin Reynolds has left the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, where he was Press and Marketing Manager, to join the National Galleries of Scotland as Head of Marketing. He has been replaced by Louise Page.

Anita Ghosh is joining Pegasus Theatre as Projects Administrator, and freelance consultant George Murray will be co-ordinating the theatre?s fundraising and development strategies.

Liz Sinclair, formerly of Greenock Arts Guild, has taken over as General Manager of The Happy Gang from Susan Heggie.
