The new distributor for Lottery funding formed by the merger of the Community Fund and the New Opportunities Fund has been officially launched by Culture Secretary Tessa Jowell, and named as the Big Lottery Fund.
Plans have also been announced for celebrations marking the tenth anniversary of the Lottery, with November 6 being designated National Lottery Day. In the run-up to the celebrations there will be activities hosted at many of the projects that have benefited from Lottery funding, including behind-the-scenes tours, special promotions and free screenings of Lottery-funded movies.
