An online database of 200 trainers, auditors and consultants specialising in disability issues has been established by Resource: The Council for Museums, Archives and Libraries, in its latest step towards reducing access barriers in the cultural sector.

The database provides a range of information to help organisations find support and advice on all disability issues, and includes details of consultants who specialise in disability awareness training and conduct Disability Discrimination Act audits. It was developed in response to the need expressed by those who took part in Resource’s national ‘Survey of provision for disabled users in museums, archives and libraries’, many of whom expressed difficulty in gaining access to disability trainers, auditors and consultants. w: http://www.resource.gov.uk/action/learnacc/00access_03.asp
