Chinese Arts Centre’s new building (pictured) will open on November 28 in a converted market hall in Manchester’s Northern Quarter.

The new arts centre will house a dedicated educational resource centre alongside a gallery and a project space for live work. The organisation was established in 1986 as the UK’s national agency for increasing the visibility of Chinese arts and culture. The opening exhibition will be an installation by Xu Bing, a New York-based artist.
