The National Portrait Gallery is working with Sheffield Galleries and Museums Trust, to host Turning Heads (pictured).

The exhibition, at the Graves Art Gallery, examines the culture of celebrity, tracing figures from Queen Victoria to Prince Naseem. The project has been made possible by a £300,000 award from the Department for Culture Media and Sport and the Department for Education and Skills to enable collaboration between national and regional museums. The joint government initiative, formed in response to the Renaissance in the Regions report, has provided grants totalling over £2.5m to projects at eleven regional museums which directly engage with the national curriculum.
