A five-day international showcase for performing arts companies seeking bookings throughout North America will be attended by Phoenix Dance Theatre, supported by funding from Business Link West Yorkshire.
Jo McBeath, Senior International Trade Adviser at Business Link West Yorkshire, said ?Attending the event in New York is, of course, no guarantee that they will get bookings in the US, but it?s a great opportunity to showcase their work to the right people and it increases their chances of success.? Also next year, Tanja Farman, Artistic Director of queerupnorth, will begin a series of attachments to organisations including the Sydney Opera House and the Melbourne International Festival, to consolidate and extend her experience of co-producing, commissioning and international collaboration. A £60,000 NESTA (National Endowment for Science, Technology & the Arts) grant has been awarded to enable her to move from a regional forum to a wider international platform.
