Dance UK
established 1982
e: info@danceuk.org

How it all began?

Dance was emerging as a distinct and diverse artform, but receiving little attention from funders and policy-makers. A group of dance artists and supporters felt dance needed a stronger voice and decided to do something about it. Bob Lockyer and a volunteer committee founded the organisation.
