Lorna Dolan (pictured) has been appointed Arts Editor of The Financial Times. She was previously the newspaper?s deputy home news editor, and started at the FT in 1995 on the night news-editing team following a career as a theatre director.

Katrina Crookall, who previously worked at Arts Council England, London, will take up the post of Administrative Director at Shape. She will be supported by Chris Buck, who has previously worked at Scope. Laura Kahn and Marjorie Thompson have also joined the organisation as consultants.

Chief Executive Nicky Goulder and Marketing & Projects Director Samantha Lodge are leaving the Orchestra of St Johns to establish a creative arts charity called Create. OSJ?s Concerts Director Derek Warby will take on the newly created position of Managing Director at the Orchestra.

Forest Forge Theatre Company has appointed a new Artistic Director to replace Martin Wylde who left the company in December. Sean Aita will join in June from Northampton Theatres Trust where he was Associate Director.

Valleys Arts Marketing has appointed Derek Hobbs (pictured) as its new Director. Prior to his appointment he was Marketing Director for a national mail order company. June François, who previously worked as Marketing Services Manager at Western Mail & Echo Ltd, also joins the organisation as Research and Projects Manager.

Horsham District Council has confirmed the appointment of Michael Gattrell as General Manager of The Capitol Horsham, formerly Horsham Arts Centre.

Kevin Dyer has become the first Associate Writer for Action Transport Theatre Company. He is an experienced playwright with over 30 commissioned plays, including recent work with New Perspectives and Action Transport.
