Freeserve and Classical.com have signed a commercial agreement to provide a classical music subscription service.
The new service will offer subscribers on-demand access to Classical.com's catalogue of 10,000 classical recordings, to which it has full distribution rights, as well as reference material and recommendations. Freeserve visitors will be able to select a subscription package that will provide unlimited online listening as well as 10 monthly downloads (a CD worth of tracks), that can be kept indefinitely and played on the user's PC, burned to CD or transferred to a portable player. Classical.com's service allows the recordings to be distributed legally to subscribers in the form of streaming, downloads or custom CDs, whilst protecting the rights and earnings of performers. w: http://classical.freeserve.com
