Andrea Montgomery has taken up the position of Artistic Director at the Riverside Theatre, Coleraine, Northern Ireland. She was previously Artistic Director of Re:Creation in addition to working for Green & Lenagan Ltd.

The Theatre Royal, Brighton has made three new appointments in its marketing team. Tracey Shaw, most recently Sales & Marketing Manager at Eastbourne Theatres takes over as Marketing Manager; Holly Steddon, formerly at Worthing Theatres joins her as Marketing Officer and Tim Sitwell also leaves Eastbourne Theatres to join the team as Press Officer.

The National Association of Youth Orchestras has announced the appointment of Hester Lean who will take up the post of Administrator at the beginning of August. She joins the NAYO from Gramophone Magazine and succeeds Catriona Nimmo-Smith who is leaving to pursue a career in music teaching.


Vanessa Swann (pictured), formerly Deputy Director of the Design Museum has been appointed Chief Executive of Cockpit Arts in London, which is expanding and soon to be opening a studio complex in Deptford.

Viv Long-Ferguson of the Royal Society of Arts has changed roles within the organisation; from Centre Co-Co-ordinator to Outreach Co-ordinator based in the Midlands.

The International Workshop Festival has welcomed four new members to its Board: Guy Chapman, theatre producer and Head of Guy Chapman Associates; Pippa Harrison, Actors' Advice at Spotlight; Sharon Parr, Business Development Manager at the International Business Leaders Forum and Sue Smith, Senior Lecturer in Drama, University of North London. Nick Sweeting and Adrian Haberberg have been named Chair and Vice Chair respectively.
