Alan Yentob has been appointed as the new Chairman of the ICA to replace Ivan Massow whose controversial views led to his resignation earlier this year. Yentob will retain his current position as the BBC?s director of drama, entertainment and children?s programmes.

Mark Feakins, Administrator of the UCL Bloomsbury Theatre for the last 4 years, will be leaving to join the Young Vic as General Manager from August.

Welsh National Opera has appointed Peter Bellingham (pictured), currently its Director of Marketing, as Executive Director. He succeeds Caroline Felton who returns to consultancy after holding the role in an interim capacity. Tugan Sokhiev joins the company as Music Director.

Richard Baron will join the artistic team at Nottingham Playhouse from the beginning of the 2002 Autumn Season as Associate Director.

Birmingham Hippodrome Theatre has appointed Stuart Griffiths as its new Theatre Director to succeed Peter Tod who left at the end of May. He has been Director of the Wycombe Swan since 1992.

Guy Christensen is the new Associate Director of Action Transport Theatre Company.

The Museum of London has a new head, Professor Jack Lohman. He replaces Dr Simon Thurley who is now Chief Executive of English Heritage.

Ivan Rockey is leaving English Chamber Orchestra to become General Manager of the Brighton Philharmonic Orchestra.

BAFA has appointed Kevin Rainey as the new Administrator of the Association. Kevin, who is currently Overseas Organiser for the Examinations Service of Guildhall School of Music & Drama, replaces Gwyn Rhydderch who is leaving to build up her freelance career.
