Since Dundee Contemporary Arts (DCA) opened three years ago it has established itself as an exciting contemporary arts organisations with a reputation for innovation and imagination in its work in visual art, film and education, says Miriam Lea.
Designed by the award-winning architect Richard Murphy, DCA houses two galleries, Dundee?s only city centre cinema, a print studio, shop and café-bar, as well as meeting room facilities.

In November 2001 we launched a corporate membership scheme to businesses in Scotland. Entitled ?The Big Picture?, it aimed from the outset to develop a creative relationship with business and industry, including giving assistance to companies who want to build a corporate art collection, hire art works for their company, commission new art or limited edition prints for marketing purposes.

An increasing number of companies are ascribing to the view that investing in corporate art will not only liven up the business environment but will help foster a more creative working environment. This area of the scheme was devised to offer businesses the opportunity to tap into our expertise, advice and, crucially, our contacts. If clients can provide a basic idea of what they are interested in ? from price range and style of work through to specific artists ? our curatorial team and print studio staff can point them in the right direction, as well as make appropriate connections on their behalf.
