A re-structuring at the Ambassador Theatre Group sees the appointment of Michael Lynas (pictured), currently its Regional Programming Director and the Chief Executive of Milton Keynes Theatre, as its new overall Programming Director, based at the Duke of York?s Theatre in London.

Egil Bjornsen, who has been Sales Manager at the Royal Shakespeare Company since 1999, has been appointed as Senior Teaching Fellow at Centre for the Study of Cultural Policy at University of Warwick.


Cornerhouse has announced the appointment of Kathy Rae Huffman (pictured) as its new Director of Visual Arts. Formerly Director of Hull Time Based Arts, East Yorkshire?s media and live-art centre, her specialism lies in web-based initiatives.

Stacey Kennedy has left West Midlands Arts (WMA) to work as Events Officer in the Development Department of the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford. Caroline Darby is the new Administrator for Music and Combined Arts, moving from WMA?s Visual Arts Department where she has been working as Media Administrator.

Chris Smith, currently Head of Arts & Events at Newport Borough Council has been appointed Head of Arts & Theatres for Reading Arts. Chris was formerly Arts Manager at Aylesbury Vale District Council and has also worked for Cumbernauld Theatre and the Citizens Theatre.

Ushi Bagga, currently in the Development Department of the National Theatre, has been appointed as the new International Administrator at the Royal Court. She replaces Natalie Highwood who has moved to become General Manager of Theatre-rites. Nina Lyndon, previously the Director?s Assistant at the Oxford Playhouse, has been appointed as the new Administrator for the Royal Court?s Young Writers Programme; and Emily McLaughlin will take over from Christine Hope as the Royal Court Education Officer in June.

The new Creative Director at Eastern Touring Agency is to be Clare Connor, who will join ETA from the New Vic where she is a lecturer in Performing Arts, and Stratford Circus where she is seconded to the post of Education Officer.


After three years as South East Arts? Literature Officer, Suzy Joinson (pictured) has been appointed to a new post in Europe with the British Council. Based in London, Suzy will now be developing literature projects across Europe.

Elizabeth-May Sutton has joined Hazard Chase as an Artist Manager, from The King?s Consort, where she spent three years as Administrator, Sponsorship Co-ordinator, Tour and Concert Manager.

Guy Woolfenden has taken over from John Stephens OBE as The Incorporated Society of Musicians? President for 2002-03.
