Wasps Artists? Studios

A £2.2m artists? studio and events complex opens in Glasgow this week. Wasps Artists? Studios, the first complex of is kind in Scotland, incorporates low-cost studios to support 200 leading and emerging visual artists and makers, together with residential accommodation for international visiting artists and curators and a 4,000 sq ft exhibition and events space.

It also includes purpose-built ceramics, stained glass and sculpture studios and provides IT facilities for artists. The development has been led by Wasps (Workshop and Artists Studio Provision (Scotland)), the only national property agency for the arts in the world, which provides low cost studio space to 750 artists in 15 studio buildings across Scotland.
