TAG Theatre Company, Scotland?s national theatre company for young people, is to be assisted by the Education Service of the Scottish Parliament on its next project, ?Making Changes?, which will explore the potential of the individual to influence change within the democratic system.

The project, which will involve over 700 young people aged 12-15 from schools in six Scottish local authorities, will culminate with delegates from each of the participating schools attending a three-day Congress in Edinburgh. The Congress will give the young people an opportunity to interact and debate with MSPs and other policymakers.? Making Changes? is the penultimate element of TAG?s ?Making the Nation? series, a four year project which aims to engage young people across Scotland in the democratic process by using theatre and participatory drama. 21,000 young people across the country have been involved so far. The series will conclude in Summer 2002 with ?Young Europeans?, a festival of European youth arts and culture.
