Catherine Rose (pictured), former APe-mail editor, has been appointed as the new Editor of ArtsProfessional, replacing Nick Jordan, who has left to pursue a career in freelance journalism. Kim Horan (pictured) has joined in the new role of Editorial Co-ordinator, having worked with the magazine during its infancy.
Three senior appointments have been made at FACT in Liverpool: Arthur Stafford is the new Commercial Director; Laura Sillars, former Senior Curator of FACT’s Collaboration Programme, becomes Head of Programme; and Louise Merrin, previously Development and Marketing Manager for Liverpool Biennial, is now FACT’s Head of Communications.
The new Director of The Corn Exchange and New Greenham Arts is Nick Giles (pictured), Chairman of Hextable Dance and former Deputy Director of Oxford Playhouse. He replaces Martin Sutherland, who has joined Royal & Derngate Theatres in Northampton as Chief Executive.
Richard Oyarzabal is the new Chief Executive at The Junction in Cambridge. Most recently he been working for the Southbank Centre on projects for the re-opening of the Royal Festival Hall, and prior to this he was Executive Director of Cardboard Citizens.
Doyin Akinola has left the Broadway, Barking, where she was Press & Marketing Officer.
After five years in post, Jacqui Boardman is standing down as Chair of Wigan Leisure and Culture Trust, the largest charitable trust of its type in England, with around 800 staff and an annual turnover of £26m.
Clive Thomas, a Cheltenham-based financial director and businessman, will become Chairman of Cheltenham Everyman Theatre following the resignation of Edward Gillespie.
Josie Balin (pictured) has been appointed as the new PR & Marketing Manager of Cockpit Arts, the creative business incubator for designer-makers. She was previously PR & Marketing Manager for INIVA (Institute of International Visual Arts) and a freelance consultant for the design industry.
The Finnish Institute’s new Director is Raija Koli. She will be joined next month by a new Programme Director of social sciences, Dr Antti Karjalainen, who was previously at the Sutton Trust.
John Howkins has been appointed as Chair and Director of consultancy Burns Owens Partnership Ltd, and will work with the company to develop new UK markets and lead its expansion overseas.
Dan Brown is the new General Manager at Big Brum Theatre in Education. Previously Business Manager for Loud Mouth Educational Theatre, he has taken over from Jane Woddis, who is now a freelance researcher.

Martijn Sanders, formerly Managing Director of the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, has been appointed as a Non-Executive Director of Intermusica.
Damien Coyle has been appointed as the new Vice-Chair of the Arts Council of Northern Ireland and five new board members have also been announced: Professor Paul Seawright, Joseph Rice, David Irvine, Brian Sore and Janine Walker.
Chapter Arts Centre in Cardiff has appointed John Matthews (pictured) as the new Chair of its Board of Directors. Since 1988 he has run his own management consultancy practice, and has recently acted as Project Adviser to Chapter in relation to its redevelopment plans.
