?Glass Ceilings?, a research report examining the barriers to entry and progression currently confronting Black and Asian administrators and managers working in the performing arts, is to be published in January by the Independent Theatre Council.
Researched and written by Professor Simon Cottle and Anjan Saha, the report examines the extent to which and means by which arts organisations seek to incorporate cultural diversity within their workforce, and firsthand accounts from Black and Asian administrators and managers illuminate how this ideal is often undermined in organisational practice.

The effectiveness of targeted training programmes and other forms of organisational response to the under-representation of Black and Asian administrators and managers, such as ITC?s own Fast-track scheme, are also evaluated.
