The Scottish Arts Council has announced that its Chief Executive, Graham Berry, is leaving at the end of this month to pursue new opportunities in Singapore. Director of Arts, Jim Tough, has been invited to assume the role of Acting Chief Executive Officer to support the Board in preparing for the development of the new organisation, Creative Scotland.

Liverpool Biennial has appointed Paul Smith to the new post of Executive Director. He is currently the North West Regional Director of Arts & Business.

John Johnston (pictured), previously Theatre Co-ordinator for Pop-Up Theatre, is the new Project Manager for Theatre-Rites.

The Guildhall School of Music & Drama has appointed Jonathan Vaughan as its new Director of Music. Currently Director of the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain, he was a double bass player with the London Symphony Orchestra for ten years, and for three years was Chair of the Board.

Mark Feakins (pictured) has been appointed to the new role of Executive Producer for Sheffield Theatres. He joins from the Young Vic in London where he was General Manager for five years.

The Artistic Director at Cheltenhams Everyman Theatre, Sue Colverd, is stepping down from the job after eight years.

Salford City Council Arts Development Service has appointed Andrea Bushell to the post of Principal Arts Officer, Nick Thompson as Assistant Arts Development Officer and Brian Raymond as Community Arts Officer for Swinton.

Alison OHara (pictured) is the new Director of the regional audience development agency, Audiences North East, which she joined as Marketing Manager last year, from the communica-tions team at the Arts Council.

Pete Massey has joined Arts Council England, Yorkshire, as Regional Partnerships Officer. He was previously Director of Create, an arts development agency in Scarborough.

Jamie Rees, formerly at the Wales Millennium Centre, is the new Marketing Manager at Birmingham Hippodrome. Liz Stanley has joined from Wycombe Swan as Marketing Officer, and Hannah Silvester is the new Marketing & Development Assistant.
