Amateur, professional and student photographers living in the West Midlands are encouraged to take part in a competition to gather a cultural snapshot of the West Midlands region. The initiative aims to help capture a series of fly on the wall photographs that will build up a picture of the day to day lives of ethnically diverse communities in the area.
The competition will also feature a special category prize for the best photograph of West Midlands Audiences enjoying the arts. The photography prize has been launched by the audience development agency Audiences Central, as part of The World in One Region, a research project to provide arts organisations with information relating to the ethnic diversity of the region.
