A joint board has been established to oversee the merger of the Scottish Arts Council (SAC) and Scottish Screen into Creative Scotland. It consists of current SAC board members: Ben Twist, Steve Grimmond, Jim McSharry, John Mulgrew OBE and Rab Noakes, and board members of Scottish Screen: Barbara McKissack, Charles Lovatt, Donald Emslie, Iain Smith, Dinah Caine OBE and Ray Macfarlane.

Quad, Derbys new £10m contemporary visual arts and media centre, which is set to open in Spring 2008, has announced the appointment of Keith Jeffrey (pictured) as its full time Director. He was most recently Director of Illuminate, a region-wide arts festival in Yorkshire, and has previously been Chief Executive of Kirklees Media Centre and the National Glass Centre, and Deputy Director of Baltic.

Sally Hobson, Programme Development Manager for the Edinburgh International Festival, has been appointed as the Festivals Creative Fellow for 2007. The Fellowship will focus on the outreach and educational work undertaken by the Edinburgh International Festival.

Screen Yorkshire has made four new senior staff appointments: Neil Preston is Finance Director, Tony Parker is Head of Industry Development, Andrew Craske is Head of Communications and Joan Whale is Project Monitoring Manager.

Harpreet Jutlla, Public Relations Officer at mac for the past three years, has joined Tribal consultancy as Marketing Co-ordinator.

Jenny Campbell (pictured above, top) is the new General Manager at Vayu Naidu Storytelling and Theatre Company, and Tuhina Ahmed (pictured above, middle), a graduate of the 2006 Fast Track programme, is the new Administrator. Former apprentice Emily Parrish (pictured above, bottom) is now Education Co-ordinator.

The Independent Theatre Council has appointed Alex Di Capua as Membership Co-ordinator and Robin Hawkes as Office Assistant.

Beverley Bishop is the new Village Stage Co-ordinator for Creative Arts East, responsible for programming and promotion.

Ledbury Poetry Festival has appointed Chloe Garner, who previously managed the Charleston Festival, as Festival Director.

Jasmine Hendry is the new Theatre Director at the Jersey Opera House. She was previously Chief Executive at the Chester Gateway.

Alix Slater, previously Principal Lecturer and Programme Area Director of Cultural Industries Management at the University of Greenwich Business School, has left to join the School of Creative Enterprise at the London College of Communication, University of the Arts.

Loughborough University has appointed Nick Slater (pictured) as its new Director of Arts, with responsibility for developing a new strategy and programme of arts activity. He was formerly Visual Arts Officer at Arts Council England, West Midlands.

Bristol Old Vic has appointed Chris Bagust, previously at the Royal and Derngate Theatres, Northampton, as Production Manager. Scott Rogers, previously with Guy Chapman Associates, has also been appointed as Head of Marketing taking over from Matt Carwardine-Palmer, who has left to pursue a freelance career in arts marketing.

AudienceView Software Corporation has announced that Nick Lisi is its new President and Chief Executive Officer, replacing the companys co-founder, Kevin Kimsa, who will stay on as Executive Chairman.

Birmingham Royal Ballet has appointed Pearl Chesterman to the post of Director of Learning. She succeeds Anne Gallacher who is joining Watford Palace Theatre as Executive Director.

The New Writing Partnership has appointed three new members to its Board: literary agent Rachel Calder, new media commentator Bill Thompson and accountant Andrew Yuill.

Emma Parsons, Head of Marketing and PR at Imperial War Museum North, is leaving to work as a freelance consultant.

South Bank Centre has appointed choreographer Maresa von Stockert as Dance Artist in Residence. She will be involved in a programme of commissions, performances and projects with South Bank Centre and research and collaborations with different areas of the centres wide-ranging activities.

Linda Martin (pictured) is the new Operations manager for Rope Assemblies manufacturing facility in Nottinghamshire. She joins from truss system manufacturer, Lite Structures.
