A national co-mentoring programme devised and led by The Sage Gateshead has been awarded a £388,000 investment by Creative Partnerships to develop emerging leaders in schools, cultural organisations and businesses. The Sage will be setting up 150 co-mentoring partnerships to bring together emerging leaders from across the nine English regions, supported by a series of face-to-face training and networking events which will be delivered in association with the Cultural Leadership Programme.
Creative Partnerships will also be working with the Cultural Leadership Programme to test and promote models for cross-sector working and to contribute to a broader understanding of mentoring and Continued Professional Development across the cultural and creative industries. Katherine Zeserson, Director of Learning and Participation at The Sage Gateshead, said, Winning this significant contract is a welcome national endorsement of The Sage Gatesheads expertise in building sustained creative collaborations at the highest level& it is our first work programme as a truly national provider, and the first time weve led a development programme in the wider creative and education sectors, not simply confined to music.
