News – Music and mathematical concepts

A series of workshops exploring the relationship between music and the mathematical concepts of probability and fractions is being delivered by Manchester Camerata, with financial backing from the Britannia Building Society.

Involving ten primary schools and two special educational needs schools, the workshops aim to make learning maths a creative process. Musicians will explore elements of the Key Stage 2 curriculum with the children, who will compose their own music to perform with the professionals.
