News – Arts in health consultation
Efforts are being made to re-establish a body to support arts in health practitioners following the decision by the trustees of the National Network for Arts in Health (NNAH) to cease trading earlier this year. Arts Council England is currently consulting with the arts in health sector in an attempt to establish the need for a national body and the role of any such future organisation.
Suggestions are also being sought for existing organisations or networks which could take on some or all of the NNAHs remit. A public meeting is planned for 25 January 2007 and written submissions or requests to attend are invited by 10 January.
