Jan Ford, Marketing and Audience Development Manager at Eastern Orchestral Board and Orchestras Live, bookmarks her favourite sites.

1. http://www.moneysavingexpert.com

Run by financial journalist Martin Lewis, he of The Guardian and Radio 2, this independent website, billed as the consumers revenge, will save you serious money. Three clicks from one of his recommended links and Id saved myself £240 on car insurance. There are lots of special offers and freebies not to mention interesting articles on all matters financial if you sign up for the weekly Martins Money Tips e-letter.

2. http://www.aa.co.uk/routeplanner

I do quite a lot of travelling for EOB and Orchestras Live and without the luxury of SatNav, the AA Route Planner is really useful for me. The only downside is that theres no real-time traffic information so the traffic jams on the A14 always come as a complete surprise rather than being preceded by a period of gloom before I set out.

3. http://www.freecycle.org

Feel less guilty about your consumerism and join a local Freecycle group eBays philanthropic cousin promoting the most efficient form of recycling give it away free to people who want what you dont want anymore.

4. http://www.google.co.uk

Its my database. Say no more.

5. http://www.rand.org

A really interesting US non-profit Think Tank site, RAND conducts and commissions research on important and complicated problems for business, education, the arts, health, law and science.
